SHOEPFLE CHILDREN'S GARDEN:
As a tribute to Lorain County Metro Parks benefactor Otto Schoepfle, a new children's interpretive center and garden is being planned that honors his love of learning, nature and music. A landscape of discovery awaits each visitor that invites use of all the senses: a scent garden, water features, a paradise for birds and butterflies, even a tempting hedge maze – each arranged with a clever association to a musical instrument. An existing structure on the site is also being modified to house additional gathering rooms.
